Leonard J. Kienzynski, 79, of Bloomfield passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at the Lyons Health & Living Center. Born Dec. 22, 1937 in Gary, the son of Walter and Anna (Dawiec) Kienzynski. Leonard was a United States Air Force veteran, he was retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in September of 1992 as an Electronics Technician after a lengthy career that led to travels throughout the world, he was an active member of the Crane VFW and had served as a trustee, he was a member of the Bloomfield American Legion Post #196, Bloomfield Jaycees, he was an avid amateur ham operator and loved to hunt and fish.. ...

Project Lifesaver: Who does the program help?

Since the inception of the Greene County Chapter of Project Lifesaver in July 2016, local police have been lucky to not have to actively use the program, but it is still offering a lot to families. Greene County Sheriff Mike Hasler said of the more than a dozen families who are a part of the program, the department has not had to actively utilize the equipment for a wandering client. ...
