GCSD provides additional details on Sept. 18 double murder-suicide (Local News ~ 10/15/18)
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department provided additional details on the double murder-suicide that happened in rural Solsberry last month. Three people were found dead at the 7048 N. State Road 43, Solsberry, residence on Sept. 18. A press release issued by Det. Sgt. James O’Malley lists Peggy J. Burks, 73, and Debra K. Floyd, 56, as homicide victims in the case. Lawrence T. Burks, 71, was named the assailant in the deaths of both women, and it was reported he then committed suicide... -
Police serving pizza for Project Lifesaver (Local News ~ 10/15/18)
Local police will be dishing up pizza for a good cause next week. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department will be working together with other local police departments for the annual Project Lifesaver fundraiser.
