Linton City Council awards stormwater contract

The Linton City Council met in special session Tuesday to award the bid for the stormwater upgrade project. The council accepted the bid from Milestone Contractors, with a total of $2,693,715. At the August regular meeting of the council, financial advisor Otto “Buzz” Krohn, with O.W. Krohn and Associates, said the bid numbers are promising because the city had anticipated an overall cost of about $3,030,190 for the construction, not including the engineering fees, bond issue and other factors...
