CAnine REscue, (C.A.R.E.) will hold their third annual Polar Plunge fundraising event at the Jasonville Fire Department, located at 235 Cook Street, at 1 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 29. “Those who are brave will take the plunge to help raise money for the rescue,” said C.A.R.E. spokesperson Margie Hudson. “This is a local rescue that is run on donations by our community and those who love animals. Wanda L. Wiegand, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Jan. 4, 2020. Born on Feb. 4, 1922, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Braithwait) Foster, and was a member of First Assembly of God, Fort Wayne. She was a devoted mother and wife who loved her family dearly. She served passionately at the Allen County Jail, ministering to women and was a prayer warrior for family and friends...
