It’s Tri Kappa Week in Linton (Local News ~ 02/16/20)
Linton Mayor John Wilkes signed a proclamation declaring Feb. 16 - 22 as Tri Kappa Week. Kappa Kappa Kappa, or Tri Kappa as it is more commonly known, was organized on Feb. 22, 1901 in Indianapolis. There are 146 active chapters and 120 associate chapters throughout the state of Indiana with nearly 10,000 members. -
Marilyn “Tut” Carpenter (Obituary ~ 02/16/20)
Tut Carpenter 84, of Ragsdale, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020 at her residence. Born Sept. 21, 1935 in Knox County, she was the daughter of Paul and Edna Pearl (Shores) Joslin. Tut was the Postmaster in Ragsdale. She was a member of the women of the Moose in Linton. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved dancing, gardening, quilting and horses... -
