LINTON – Despite a few runners being out, Linton was a close second to South Knox in the Linton Invite Friday in girls meet as the Miners ended with a score of 150.5 to the 152.5 of the Spartans. The Lady Miners were boosted by strong performances in running events by sophomore Peyton Smith. Smith filled in to run the 800 and stayed with the 1600 and 3200 runs as well.
