UPDATED; GCSD requesting help to identify subject in theft incident

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department (GCSD) is asking for community members’ help to identify a male subject regarding the theft of a four foot utility trailer that took place in Linton on Mar. 6, 2023 at M&M Mower Repair. The male drives a dark blue or black Dodge Ram pickup and is pictured in the photograph. If anyone has any information, please contact Deputy James J. Carpenter of the GCSD at 812-384-4411...

Linton NHS hosts cancer candlelight ceremony

The Linton-Stockton High School (LSHS) chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) hosted its second annual cancer candlelight ceremony March 16. The ceremony included personal testimonies from NHS junior class member Quinton Jenkins, who spoke about his dad’s journey with cancer, as well as community members Heidi Puckett, who spoke about friends and family she’s known who have lost their battles with cancer, Brittney Albright, who spoke about her son Carson’s history of once having cancer and NHS Senior Class Member Karly Smock who spoke on behalf of LSHS teacher and cancer survivor Jerisa Yingling, who wrote about her journey with cancer. ...
