Training officer thankful for support for EMT event

To the Editor:

Greene County Ambulance Service held its first EMT Day on Aug. 17, 2007 at the Switz City 4-H fairgrounds.

I would like to thank area businesses and the individuals for their support and donations for the event. In order to have such an event it takes a lot of work, equipment, and support.

Thank you to the following: Shakamak IGA, Bloomfield IGA, Save-A-Lot, Angell's, Wal-Mart, the Greene County Daily World, Fast Freddie's, Good Times Restaurant, Stoll's Country Inn, Wendy's Restaurant, Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Dave's 76, Country Florist, Gamble's Furniture, Twist N Shake, Rash Hardware, Petro's, Hunter's Drive In, Hasler Oil, Pizza City, Air Evac and Greene County General Hospital.

This event was fundamental in assisting EMTs and Fire Department medical techs in achieving their continuing education requirements and assisting in critical skills performance in the field.

Again, thank you to everyone and the businesses for helping make this event a success.
