Sonya A. Workman

Sonya A. Workman, 64, of Linton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital.

Born on Jan. 27, 1942, she was the daughter of Rex and Ina (Jeffers) Workman.

The life-long resident of Linton had worked at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for 15 years and at 3D (Danner's Discount Department Store) in Linton prior to her employment with the license branch. She retired in 2006. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements and graveside rites are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday at Dog Island Cemetery in Lyons with Brother Nick Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
