Greene County schools are doing things the right way

To the Editor:

"All Greene County school district on 'watch list'."

There is not a day goes by but we read of the failure of the Indiana Department of Education to "do a job," that, in my opinion, does not need to be accomplished. They should leave the schools alone and forget the dumb rating system. They are creating animosity, accusing where it need not being accused, fixing the rating system, changing the rating system; I could go on and on.

"We've got to improve," say Ms. Reed! What an understatement! An improvement would be to dismantle the Department of Indiana Education completely and tell them to "get a job."

Again, the testers have established a bailiwick that must be brought down. I suggest parents and teachers let Suellen Reed know of the disenchantment. Her address is Suellen Reed, Room 229, State House, Indianapolis, Ind., 46204-2798.

All Greene County schools should be on a watch list -- that is how to do things right!

Wake up America.
