More government red tape not the answer in Linton
Friday, November 9, 2007
To the Editor:
I read the Greene County Daily World every day (except Monday). Your rating is A plus for news coverage.
Both mayoral candidates seem to favor more red tape regarding building and construction. Red tape is not the answer. It is more cost effective to use the people they have to enforce the codes they have.
I lived in Anderson for 52 years. The city of Anderson has an inspector for almost everything and the taxes and the utilities are higher than Linton. There is more blight in Anderson than there is in Linton.
Red tape is not the answer.
