To the Editor:

The family of Eric Michael Anderson would like to thank the entire community of Linton and the surrounding communities for their ongoing support and prayers for Eric and our family during Eric's hospitalization and passing.

Thank you to everyone who came to the services or visited us at home. Thank you to all who sent cards, flowers, and food. Thanks to so many people for donating to the Linton-Stockton Marching Miners. Eric would be so happy to help the band he loved so much.

Thank you to all the churches here, and all across the country, who prayed with us over this last month. Thank you to Pastor Scott Rasico and his beautiful wife Kathy for being there with us the night the angels carried Eric gently to heaven. Thank you to our church, Sandborn Baptist, for the wonderful dinner and continued love and prayers.

Thank you to Anderson-Poindexter and Mr. Jim Meng for making the most difficult time of our lives comforting in a way that we never thought possible. Thanks so much to Jeremy Wright, Eric's cousin, for giving of himself at the funeral by sharing his beautiful voice in song.

We would also like to thank all the Linton-Stockton first graders who brought in money to donate to Riley Children's Hospital in Eric's name. Thanks to their donations, and the initiative of the first-grade teachers, an X-Box 360 Game System and four games were donated to the Heart Center at Riley in memory of Eric on Friday, Dec. 7. Eric loved video games and would be happy to know that other kids will be able to enjoy what he loved to do when they are sick and away from home.

Our family can never say thank you enough to all who have shown us their love and support. May God bless each of you this holiday season and always.
