Reader says 'vote smart' in coming election

Monday, March 10, 2008

Dear Editor,

The mothers in this country should unite and present some questions, to our government. They should demand truthful answers.

Why are our sons and daughters placed in harms way, to be blown to bits, killed, shot, injured and otherwise harmed?

In this last one hundred years, almost four million of our soldiers were killed, maimed, wounded or otherwise harmed.

"For what reason?" Is this would a safer place, to live in, since my sons and daughters have died? How did our country benefit, by their deaths? Who gained the most from these wars? Was your profit enough, to soothe our heartbreak?

Who starts these wars anyway? We can blame Bush for the mess in Iraq, that's because we don't know all the facts. I would venture to guess, that Bush had no more to do with starting the Iraq war, than I did. I can guarantee, that I had NOTHING to do with it. There are too many "sheeple" in this land, those who can not or will not think for themselves, but let others tell them, what to think and most importantly, how to "Vote".

This year , why not educate yourselves on the issues and vote our mind (conscience).

If more people would take interest in the actions, of our leaders and speak out when they should. I believe that this county would be in better shape.

This coming Election is crucial to the security of this country. Do your duty and "Vote Smart".

The consequences of a wrong choice, could easily lead to many more broken hearted mothers.

Thanks for listening,

Robert M. Weyer.
