Three new smoke-free businesses thanked

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

Dear Editor:

Greene County businesses are getting it! Secondhand smoke is dangerous to both employees and patrons. And most people prefer to eat without exposing themselves to the smell and toxins of secondhand smoke. Greene County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation welcomes three new smoke free restaurants to our county: in Bloomfield -- Main Street Café and Deli; in Linton -- The Original Double Dog and Arby's. This brings the total of smoke free eateries in Greene County up to 29. The next time you patronize these places, be sure to thank them for providing a healthy environment for you and your family.

For information on how your restaurant can become smoke free, please call Greene Co. Tobacco Prevention and Cessation at 384-8769.

In support of smoke free air,

Nancy Cummings,, GCTPC Coordinator
