UPDATED: Water still rising in Worthington

(At 8 p.m.: On the northside of Worthington, floodwaters had overtaken Second Street (one block to the south of Third Street) by 7 p.m. and were continuing to inch southward. On the west side of town, floodwaters were close to the ball diamonds and lapping the shoulder of Wabash Ave. but no water was on the road. Terre Haute Road, which heads west out of town toward Lone Tree, remains closed. State Road 67 remains closed south of town but is open northward from Worthington to Spencer. State Road 157 North to Jasonville is closed and State Road 157 South/East to Bloomfield is closed.)
