Family grateful

for support

To the editor:

Thank you for the opportunity to express my appreciation to some very special people.

My mother, who was 102 years old, passed from this old earthly world to the home of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has been preparing for her.

Everyone who knew her, loved her.

First of all I would like to thank Jim Meng and his staff and their attentive concern for our entire family. Mother looked like she did 10 years ago. Thanks to the ladies from our church, the Linton Assembly of God for bringing all the delicious food to our house. Since I'm handicapped, it was so helpful to me.

Thanks to Pastor Randy Raney for leading the service on such a short notice. Doris Thorton did a beautiful job of playing some of Mother's favorite old church hymns.

Thanks to the casket bearers, Larry Wertenberger, Curtis Pittman and Gale Pittman, grandsons, and three great-grandsons, Greg Wertenberger, Luke Pittman, and Josh Pittman.

Thanks to all who sent cards, brought food to the house, and the calls and visits. And I must not leave out those who took care of her at Glenburn Home. May God bless each of you, and I thank you.

Family says thanks for help

To the Editor:

The family of Jeana Marie Rose want to thank all of those who gave us support during the loss of our little angel.

We can't possibly list everyone by name but the community support was greatly appreciated and wonderful.

Our special thanks to the Greene County Ambulance Service and the emergency room staff at Greene County Hospital, and the Worthington Elementary School. All of you who sent your expression of kindness and sympathy.

Thanks Rick for helping BHS

To the Editor:

Congratulations, Rick Hudson for taking the reins of a faltering athletic department and doing a magnificent job through one term.

Seems the whole town thinks you've done well except the BHS (Bloomfield) School Board. Well done, sir.

Onions to the school board for allowing Rick to be replaced by an unknown quantity. Another abrupt departure wouldn't surprise me.

And how was your day?
