Likes publishing sex offender registry

Letter to the Editor:

Your page with photos of sex-offender child molesters is great. The people of Greene Co. should know where these predators are, but look what it does say about Greene County Justice system. They give guys that only stole a pint of wine 2 years or 7 years for putting a few stitches in a man's head. But they let these molesters and sex offenders off with a smack on the wrist. What does that say about the court here. They need to give these monsters more time instead of letting them off like they do to repeat the same offense. There's guys in the paper X2, X3, X10 molesters. I hope you print this, it might make a difference how they sentence these predators of children.

Thank you,

Thoughts on golf carts on town streets

To the Editor:

In response to Mr. Jim McKamey about golf carts in Bloomfield: The town of Worthington has allowed golf carts in their town for several years during their Labor Day weekend, and as far as I know, there has never been any problems.

Several of us "senior citizens" cannot walk around to the yard sales. This event has several thousand people attending, buying, and visiting family and friends. Most of us drive responsibly, courteously, carry insurance, slow moving signs, flags, lights, horns, etc.

Don't you think the town of Worthington would have put a stop to letting golf carts come in their town if it was not beneficial.

Master Gardeners say thanks

Letter to the Editor

The Greene County Master Gardener Association would like to thank the following garden enthusiasts for all the time and energy they put forth in preparation for the Worthington Garden Tour on June 7th: Betty Fuller, Gia Spoor, Lyle Sloan, Jackie Coppock, Denise Green, Dr. Mark Buckley and all those who helped on this project.

Unfortunately flood conditions prevented the attendance that the gardens greatly deserved.

In Appreciation,

Greene Co Master Gardener Association
