Looking for lost family members

Dear Editor,

I'm am interested in contacting "lost" family members. Not sure if you can help. However, my grandfather, John McGregor Stevenson (for whom I am named) and his brother, William along with some McGregor relatives (I think) immigrated from Scotland to Vicksburg, IN ca. 1909-1910 to mine coal. My dad, Donald McLeay Stevenson, was born in Vicksburg about 1911 and, along with my grandparents and uncle, John Dick Stevenson returned to Scotland a couple of years after. When I was in the Army and attending Finance School at Ft Ben Harrison, my folks came out from Chatham, MA and we visited great-uncle William and his family in 1957; I believe they lived in the in the Linton area. There was a Willis or Willie, Jr., and Dad's cousin John, there also. There was a grandson named Dale, who was in the Navy the same time as was my brother, Donald (known as Bing or Steve) M. Stevenson, Jr., and would visit us in Chatham when on leave. Dale later went to Naval flight school but died in an accident.

Thank you,

John M. Stevenson

Thank you to Sandborn Lions Club

To the Editor:

The family of David Gee wishes to thank the members of Sandborn Lions Club, those who worked so hard on the fish fry, and the people of surrounding communities for their support and monetary donations.

This has been a real tribute of love toward us and we appreciate it deeply. We thank all the churches for their thoughts, prayers, and cards. We thank Pastor Scott Rasico, minister of Sandborn Baptist Church and the congregation for their continued visitations, prayers, and words of encouragement.

David is still a patient at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. The love and compassion you all have shown us is overwhelming. Our family and David have been through so much these past few months that words cannot express how grateful and appreciative we are for such good friends.

We are so blessed to live in such a loving and close-knit community. It's wonderful to know there is a great support system out there and we can't thank you enough.

Judy, Kim, Becky, Annett, and David Gee

Favors abolishing Electorial College

I believe the "Electorial College" needs to be abolished so the deception that took place in the last two elections (read: Bush Adminastration) can not be exacuted. The majority of the people should decide with no barriers inbetween to help exterminate voter deception and fixing.
