Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, 60, of Westfield passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born June 8, 1948, in Wayne County, Mich., he was the son of Paul K. and Esther Johnson.

He worked for Watson Security as a security guard and he also served as a former minister. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Westfield.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Johnson of Westfield; son, Joseph P. Johnson of Westfield; daughters, Tammy (husband, Dan) Taylor of Fishers and Teresa (husband, Matthew) Hayes of Ft. Myers, Fla.; brothers, John Evans of Jasonville, and Gene Boright of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister, Barbara Teller of Montgomery, Mich.; adoptive sister, Donna Allen of Centerville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Funeral services will follow visitation at the mortuary with the Rev. Bob Brenneman officiating.

Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
