Linton woman says thanks for the prayers

To the Editor:

I want to thank everyone who prayed for my sister, Lovena Carter.

She's been in ICU at Regional Hospital for over two weeks. She's in a regular room now, thank God.

She had acute pancreatitis.

Thank you, and God Bless everyone who prayed for her.

I even told Santa all I wanted for Christmas was my sister back. She can't talk very well from the tubes down her throat, but she's sitting in a chair drinking Sprite.

God gave her back.

Thank you everyone!

To the Editor:

On the night that Jesus was born, while He was looking out and up at the night sky full of stars, baby Jesus heard His Heavenly Father speak to him.

As the baby "Jesus" lay there in his manger (bed) he looked up at the brightest star above, "his Heavenly Father" began speaking to him so softly. Hello there, my precious son. I love you so much and so sorry I have to be so far away from you. But, I will be very close to you in your heart and spirit. I know right now, you don't know what is going on, but your future holds a lot of ups and downs. Your mother and Joseph (father) will take good care of you. And "I" will lead and guide you all, through each and every moment of it all. And one day the time will come, when you are grown, you will lead and teach multitudes of people, about "My" love and grace to them. Oh, yes I almost forgot, how do you like the Angels serenading you, with their beautiful songs? And of course, the Shepherds coming with their sheep and other animals here in the stable to keep you company. Well, its time for "Me" to go for now and let you sleep awhile, but I will come again and talk with you some more. Don't forget, "I love you" and I will be by your side every moment of the day and night.

As "God" the Father spoke to Jesus, Jesus spoke back to Him, with coos and ahs and the other things in baby talk, just as if he understood each and every word.
