Truck stolen in Switz City, recovered near Lyons

A truck that was stolen in Switz City around midnight was later involved in an accident in Lyons then located and recovered from a rural location - all before the sun came up on Friday.

Josh Haton of Jasonville reported his 2002 Dodge Durango as stolen around 12:15 a.m. Friday.

According to a report from Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman, the truck was taken from the parking lot of the Oodle Inn on State Road 54 in Switz City.

Haton said he had left his keys in the truck and when he went back to it, the truck was gone.

Inman reported the truck was then involved in an accident on Jefferson St. in Lyons.

The truck was later found at a location northeast of Lyons on County Road 500W north of CR 200S in Washington Township.

Bloomfield Deputy Marshal Shane Smith also assisted in the investigation.

  • How can you run over mailboxes in lyons at 11:00

    then report your truck stolen at 12:15 hummmmm don't add up?

    what is the difference between what you said about the home invasion and this. It is just a guess by avenger. That is exacty what you said about it. Oh by the way indianapolis had a home invasion to you think it is might be connected.
