Wild game dinner
Hunters and Fisherman, B4 Outdoors will be hosting a wild game dinner at the Roy Clark Community building on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.
Cost is $5 for adults and kids under 10 eat free.
Many door prizes will be given away including the grand prize of a fully guided Missouri turkey hunt with national turkey calling champion Chris Parish.
Also there will be a gun raffle with tickets only being sold the night of the dinner.

Bloomfield Youth Baseball sign-ups
The Bloomfield Youth League Baseball Association will hold it's next meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26 at the Bloomfield Public Library.
Sign-ups for the 2009 baseball season will be: Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bloomfield Public Library.
Eastern make-up Feb. 14
The Eastern Greene at Clay City boys basketball game, which was postponed Jan. 16, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14.
The JV game will begin at noon with the varsity contest to follow.
Girls game at Dugger Monday
The Union (Dugger) vs. Shakamak varsity-only girls basketball game on Monday will be played at Dugger, starting at 6:30 p.m.
The game was previously announced as being played at Shakamak.
Miners fall to 9-5
Linton-Stockton lost to visiting Sullivan 43-27 in a seventh grade boys basketball game.
"Sullivan's seventh grade is extremely good and we were never in the game," said Linton-Stockton coach Darren Woodward. "The game really wasn't as close as the final score indicated.
"The bright spot of the night came from the newcomer Zach Riddell, who had a high-point honors of eight points and three rebounds in his first action as a Miner."
Ryan Woodward had seven points and two assists and Beau Eaton added four points and four rebounds.
Trent Vowell finished with two steals and two points, Bryant Jackson tallied two rebounds and four points. Dane Rupska led with six rebounds and added two points.
Eastern Greene game Saturday
The Mitchell at Eastern Greene girls basketball game scheduled for Jan. 15 was postponed.
The game will be made up on Saturday, Jan. 24 with the junior varsity contest to start at 11 a.m.
Bloomfield changes, game Saturday
The Clay City at Bloomfield girls basketball game has been rescheduled for Saturday. The JV contest will begin at noon.
The Bloomfield at Washington Catholic High School girls basketball game has been moved from Jan. 22 to Thursday, Jan. 29. The JV will begin at 6 p.m.
Linton White tops Carlisle
The Linton Stockton White fifth grade boys basketball team beat Carlisle 24-13 at home Thursday night.
The Miners were lead in scoring by the seven points of Pierce Jackson. Devin Collenbaugh and Zack Phegley both scored four points, Jacob Clothier, Janzen Franklin, Jacob Gregory and Damian Turpin all scored two points.
The Blue team will host North Daviess Tuesday night.
WRV game Feb. 12
The White River Valley athletic department would like to announce the following changes for the 2009 high school basketball season.
The WRV boys basketball team will have a make-up game at Washington Catholic at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12.
New dates for Springs Valley tourneys
The Springs Valley boys basketball program will be hosting basketball tourneys, The 2009 Valley Hoops Invitational, for boys in grades 3-5 has been rescheduled for Jan. 30 to Feb. 1 and the tourney for boys in grades 6-8 is set for April 3-5
Entry deadline for the 3-5 grade tourney is Monday, Jan. 26, and the deadline for the 6-8 tourney is Monday, March 30.
The tourney is open to all school feeder program teams, and the cost is $200 per team.
Schools that enter more than one team will receive special discounts. Individual players on the champion and runner-up teams will receive trophies.
