Spring sporting events postponed

The rains that hit the Wabash Valley over the weekend caused several area athletic events to be postponed.

On Saturday, the Eastern Greene at Linton-Stockton and Eminence at White River Valley games were postponed.

The Eastern Greene softball game at South Knox Saturday also was called off because of wet grounds.

Games that were called off Monday were the Linton-Stockton at Bloomington South and Bloomfield at Union (Dugger) baseball games.

The Linton-Stockton at Union (Dugger) and Shakamak at Clay City softball games also were postponed Monday.

The Shakamak at North Central track meet that included Sullivan was moved from Monday to Wednesday.

The Linton-Stockton at White River Valley girls tennis match, scheduled for Monday, also was postponed with no make-up date set.

Monday's golf match at Phil Harris Golf course featuring North Daviess, Shoals and Bloomfield also was postponed.

The White River Valley at Bedford North Lawrence softball game also was called off Monday.
