Dwight "Bud" Allen

Dwight "Bud" Allen, 74, of Worthington passed away at 1:05 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Waverly, Ohio to Dwight and Bertha (Lansing) Allen.

He retired from Operators Engineers Local #841; was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; and was a member of the American Legion #0479 at Lyons.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Ford) Allen, of Worthington; five children, Terressa (Charles) Sparks, Worthington; Tony Allen, Worthington; Randy (Cathie) Allen, Worthington; Linda (Jeff) Coulter, Worthington; Kathy (Greg) Bates, Freedom; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maria Philpott, Linton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Isaac Allen.

Graveside service at Worthington Cemetery, 11 a.m. Thursday.
