The Union (Dugger) High School boys golf team earned a split in a triangular match at the Sullivan Elks Club Golf Course Tuesday.

The host Golden Arrows won with a 176, led by medalist Dreyson Boyd, who shot 42.

The Bulldogs finished with a 200 and North Central had a score of 214.

Michael Talpas was low for Union (Dugger) with a nine-hole total of 48.

Taylor House carded a 49, Tyler Talpas 51, Selby Shott 52, Fred Brust 57 and Ryan Vrzina finished with a 63.

"The scores were not too bad, considering the conditions," said Union (Dugger) coach George Sly. "It was about 44 degrees with a wind chill of 35. It was still very wet. It was both mentally and technically tough.

"But the scores were reasonable. We were able to get a split overall."

The Bulldogs will play against host Bloomfield and North Knox Thursday at the Phil Harris Golf Course. They will compete in the Tri-River Conference match, also at Phil Harris at 11 a.m. Saturday.
