Bloomfield sewage

to increase again?

To the Editor:

A few years ago the sewage rates were raised to $27 a month. This was to repair and expand the system. We were assured that this would take care of all the issues with the system and this would be the end of the problems.

Now here we go again. Raise the rates again, I do not believe this is a option! There are many people that are retired, living on low fixed incomes and can not afford these type of increases.

The town leaders must find other ways to approach this problem. What about grants or maybe bonds? Have all these possibilities been thoroughly investigated?

I ask the town leaders to please give their all in resolving this issue.

Thank you.
