To the Editor:

Open Arms Christian Ministries would like to thank all of the sponsors, teams, staff and volunteers who participated in this year's Ninth Annual "Fore Kids" Golf Scramble on Sept. 25 at the Phil Harris Golf Course in Linton.

A special thank you to our corporate sponsor UDWI-REMC of Bloomfield, Bart Beard and staff at Phil Harris and a big congratulations to the Lincoln First Christian Church Team No. 1 of Jasonville for taking first place.

Everyone's contributions to this year's scramble made the event a great success. God bless and we hope to see everyone next September!

To the Editor:

The family of Leslie "Sam" W. Crowe would like to thank everyone who brought food to the house, sent flowers, gifts, cards and gave donations in his name.

Thank you so much!

Thank you to the Rev. Kevin Raidy, Brother Kevin Albert, Lee May and Clifford Trowbridge -- each one of you spoke from the heart -- your words were just what we needed to hear.

Thank you so much!

Thank you to Sue Johnson for running the sound system at the church during the funeral. Thank you to BUMC's Bereavement Committee and anyone who supplied food for after the funeral. What a wonderful meal! Thank you!

Thank you to the terrific nurses on the fourth floor and in the Critical Care East Unit of Bloomington Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Brad Ray and all of the other doctors who checked on and worked with Sam during his illness and time in the hospital. Sam appreciated and thought very highly of each of you. Thank you!

Thank you to Jenkins Funeral Home (Scott and Gary) for all of your assistance during the time of Sam's death. You were very helpful in making the arrangements and getting us everything we needed. Thank you!

Thank you to Sandi Yoho, Ty Mungle, Bruce Hayse and the custodial staff of Eastern Greene School for the preparation and use of the building during the viewing. It was the perfect setting and what an honor to Sam. Thank you!

Thank you to the very thoughtful ladies (Arlene, Lori, Tina, Missy, and Susan) for the food you brought to the viewing. It was nice to take a break and have something to eat. Thank you!

Thank you to all the many, many people who came to the visitation -- what an amazing turnout. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who held us in your arms, thoughts and prayers. We couldn't have made it without you. Thank you!

Thank you to all of our family and friends for being there with us and for us. Thank you everyone!
