Varsity-only games

The North Daviess at White River Valley girls basketball game will be a varsity-only contest, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Also, all Union (Dugger) girls basketball games will be varsity-only, including Tuesday's game at Dugger against Eastern Greene, which will start at 6:30 p.m.

Eastern Greene awards Monday

The Eastern Greene Fall Sports Awards program will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the high school gymnasium.

Pictures, results welcome

The Greene County Daily World encourages area sports youth coaches or parents and elementary and junior high school coaches to submit pictures of your teams for publication as well as your game results.

Pictures should include identification information about all players and coaches as well as any other info about the team's accomplishments.

Pictures can be e-mailed as pdfs to hargisbj@gmail.com or to sportswriterrick@yahoo.com. Actual photos can be dropped off at 79 S. Main St., Linton, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Photos can be picked up after they are published.

Results, including first and last games and any information, can be sent to the same addresses.

Linton-Stockton awards Monday

The Linton-Stockton High School Fall Sports Awards program has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday in the high school auditeria.

There will not be a meal served but we will have the presentation of awards and then have cake and refreshments.

Winter Sports Preview

The Greene County Daily World will again be putting out its annual Winter Sports Preview, which will take a preseason looking at the boys and girls basketball teams from Eastern Greene, Bloomfield, White River Valley, Linton-Stockton, Union (Dugger) and Shakamak.

The 20-page section will come out on Saturday, Nov. 20.
