EGHS, Lady Miners lead all-SWIAC volleyball team
Three players each from Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference champion Eastern Greene and three from conference runner-up Linton-Stockton highlight the 2010 all-SWIAC volleyball team.
Shakamak earned two sports while Bloomfield and White River Valley had one player each on the all-conference slate.
Two players each from North Central and Clay City were named to the list along with one player from North Daviess
The results were released this week following a vote of conference coaches earlier this month.
Grabbing all-conference honors from the Lady Thunderbirds were Casie Divine, Scottie Ingram and Rikki McCann.
The Lady Miners contingent included Bradlea Beard, Courtney Barnes and Savannah Mason.
Also named to the list were Shakamak's Holli Moore and Mikayla Crane while WRV's Sydney Kail and Bloomfield's Letitia Poe also made the list.
Named to the list from Clay City were Carlie Dayhuff and Lynsey Higgins. From North Central Bree Higginbottom and Megan Stone were named and North Daviess' Stacey Beard were also honored.
Three more members of the Lady Cardinals -- Ariel Fuller, Kari Schulte and Tiffany LaChance -- were named honorable mention list.
Also earning honorable mention nods were Union's Shayna Nicol and Shellby Smith, Eastern Greene's Whitney Richardson, Linton-Stockton's Sydney Lehman, White River Valley's Jasmine May and Lydia Miller along with Shakamak's Kylee Grissom.
Others named to the honorable mention list by SWIAC coaches included Brielle Drelick from Clay City, Adara Crooks and Courtney Higginbottom from North Central and Taylor Jeffers from North Daviess.
