Betty R. Sluder
JASONVILLE -- Betty R. Sluder, 86, of Jasonville, died Nov. 12, 2010 died 10:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born July 8, 1924 in Lewis to Harry W. and Bessie L. (Bedwell) Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cyril Collins in 1981 and second husband Norman Sluder in 1997.
She is survived by sisters, Clara Coverstone of Jasonville, Ethel Mathers of Jasonville; nephews, Dana and Jennifer Coverstone of Burkesville, Ky., Darin Coverstone of Jasonville, Rick and Eva Sparks of Worthington, Bob Mathers of Jasonville, Gene Mathers of Jasonville, Richard and Juanita Mathers of Jasonville; nieces, Niki and Rick Jackson of Dugger, Darla and Chris Cottom of West Terre Haute, Renita and Jeff Secrest of Jasonville; step-son, Jim Sluder of Jasonville, and numerous great-nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, George Sparks; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Sparks.
She had worked at Sarkes Tarzian at Bloomington, Lane Bryant at Indianapolis, and retired from Hamilton's Meat Processing Family in Jasonville. Betty was a member of Jasonville Assembly of God Church.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Jasonville and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Jasonville Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services is at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the Jasonville Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dana Coverstone and Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
