Festival of Trees

was a success

To the Editor:

The Shawnee Theatre has always been able to rely on the community to support its theatrical productions. This year was no exception. The outstanding support by individuals, businesses, local clubs and sororities has made our Sixth Annual Festival of Trees the best ever.

The assistance provided by these patrons of the Shawnee Summer Theatre is sincerely appreciated. The beautiful results were appreciated by the hundreds able to attend our festival. The bidding was exciting right up to the last minute.

The trees themselves were spectacularly decorated in many themes including Patriotic, Sports, 50's Rock 'n' Roll, Surfing, snowmen and many others. We are pleased to announce that the proceeds equaled last year's record of $9,000.
