Lane restriction set for State Road 58 starting Wednesday

Monday, April 4, 2011

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that a stretch of State Road 58 in eastern Greene County will be restricted to ten feet in width.

Two small box drainage structures will be replaced 1.10 and 1.25 miles east of S.R. 45.

One lane of the roadway will need to be closed to allow crews to install the structure. Signals will be installed to move traffic through the area.

Work is scheduled to begin on or after Wednesday at approximately 8 a.m. local time and the restriction and signals will remain in place through the end of November.

  • How long is this one going to take? Is it another year long project like the bridge on 54 before Sharky's curve that has been one lane with traffic lights? I never see anyone out there working while I wait for a green light.
