To the Editor:

On Sept. 17, 2011 the Greene County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) held a fundraiser to pay for the training required for a Registered Nurse to become a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for the Greene County area.

The first annual "Mom Prom" raised $1,350 out of the $2,400 that is required to properly train one SANE. Donations are still being accepted and may be made through the Greene County Foundation-Sexual Assault Response Team account.
