To the Editor:

The recent blood drive and silent auction were a huge success.

The family of Mirisa Jones would like to say thank you to a very giving community. When the Indiana Blood Center left the blood drive they had taken 55 donors which far surpassed our goal of 26 donors in honor of Mirisa's 26th birthday on 10/15/11.

Blood donations can still be given at the Indiana Blood Center in Mirisa's honor until 11/16/11.

Thank you to Kade Puckett, US 231, Mike Fonderhide, Indiana Blood Center, High 99, JP's Fish & More, City Pest, FOP, Cat and Sally Burger, Ray and Janet Pittman, Indiana National Guard CO A 1 152nd Inf. Br., Pepsi, Theta Pi of Jasonville, Worthington IGA, and Indiana Blood Center. To all the people behind the scenes who gave their time and money, thank you.

Through silent auction items donated and monetary donations a scholarship will be put in place with the Greene County Foundation to assist a Linton-Stockton senior going into the medical field.
