To the Editor:

I too was taken like all the other people that had dealings with Billy J. Utt.

Several years ago he and a lady friend cut a tree for my husband and me. He had the wood from the tree sold nearly before he had it down. A large truck came and hauled all the tree away.

Just this Fall he came to my door wanting money for gas. I asked him if he'd cut down a tree. He said yes. In the meantime I went and got $40 and gave it to him, paying on the tree he'd cut for me later. When leaving he said, "I'll be back tomorrow to cut your tree."

He never did come back.
