I've been mowing city's grass for years

To the Editor:

I read with interest and appreciation the nice article in Wednesday's paper about the fine gentlemen picking up the trash under the sign in west Linton.

I'm glad the city council members saw fit to recognize him for his deeds.

I, along with a few of my neighbors on NE 10th St., have been doing this, plus mowing the city's grass in the boulevard for many years. I have personally been doing this for 57 years.

That is a lot of gasoline I have used for mowing.
