EGHS loses road game

Brown County jumped ahead 8-0 and held off visiting Eastern Greene 9-5 in a high school baseball game Thursday night.

The Thunderbirds slipped to 5-4.

Zak Eckerle was the starting and losing pitcher.

Gage Shell doubled and Jake Johnson and Jake Hash each tripled.

Carter Divine had three singles while Michael McCann, Nathan Cobine and Hash and Johnson both singled.

Logan Frye, Johnson, Hash, Divine and McCann each scored one run.

The Thunderbirds will play Monday at Sullivan.
