Lady Cardinals win track and field meet

The Bloomfield High School girls track and field team scored 64 points and defeated host Clay City (49) and Sullivan (43) in a triangular meet Thursday.

In the boys event, Sullivan had a winning total of 74, Clay City was second with 60 and the Cardinals scored 21 points.

BHS senior Julie Riggins won the 400, 3,200 and 1,600 meters. Taylor Gilmore took first in the long jump and second in the 100 and 200.

Britney Pinnick won both hurdle races and Bloomfield was first in the 1,600 and 3,200 relays.

Bloomfield's boys won the 3,200 relay.
