Anita J. Poe, 90, of Linton, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

She was born Oct. 28, 1921, in Sullivan County, the daughter of Floyd Heaton, Sr. and Iva (Sidebottom) Heaton.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Arlene) Poe of Linton and Phil (Patty) Poe of Linton; a sister, Phyllis Griffith of Jasonville; four half-brothers, Jeff Heaton, Mike Heaton, Gary Heaton and Kevin Heaton; five half-sisters, Sharon Bryant, Shirley Weaver, Jackie King, Chris Parson, and Cathy Lynch; seven grandchildren, Lisa Evans of Worthington, Stacy Wells of Linton, Jennifer Poe of Bloomington, Tammy Newton of Princeton and Scott Poe, Angie Yuodzukinas and A. J. Poe, all of Linton; and 14 great-grandchildren, DeLaney, Chad, Kinley, Katie, Jeremy, Jeff, Josh, Jenny, Jessy, Alexa, Reese, Brayden, Eli and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph L. Poe, May 9, 2004.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of the service.
