To the Editor:

The family of Lu Ann Kohler-Shonk wishes to thank everyone who has expressed concern, prayers, flowers, food and comfort during her long illness and recent passing.

To all the people who made memorial donations, the money was used to support the Elk's project of making the Linton Park and Linton Pool ADA accessible.

The volunteers that helped get the yard in shape or donated items for the beautification project should know that she really enjoyed seeing the video we made to show her all the love and support that people expressed for her. She was overwhelmed with joy and happiness by the gesture.

Many people did not know the extent of her long four-year battle with the disease. She chose not to complain, but to battle the disease with dignity and grace. We all are comforted by the fact her struggles are over and she is at finally at peace.
