Smith family says thank you

To the Editor:

The family of Jewell Smith would like to thank everyone that gave us prayers and support during the illness and passing of our loved mom and grandmother.

Special thanks to her doctor, Dr. Ronald Smith, Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Jim Meng and his wonderful staff that helped us, Pastor David Tyra, and Pastor Aaron Knapp for their visits and prayer during the past years, and David's message and words of comfort at her service.

Thanks to the bereavement committee at the First Baptist Church for a great meal, that allowed us to spend comforting time with friends and family after the service. This is truly and wonderful ministry they provide.

We want to thank Glenburn Home for giving mom a home for the past five years, and making it feel like a home because of the care, comfort and love shown by the amazing angels in the Special Care Unit. Words cannot express how special they made both mom and her family feel because of that love.

Many thanks to our friends and family for their prayers, calls, cards, flowers, food, and donations to the Linton Community Food Pantry in mom's honor.
