ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included two trespassing, one fraud, one medical/extraction, two requests for information, one for lifting assistance, one fight, one juvenile/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, one custody dispute or exchange, one missing or runaway juvenile, two complaints about a reckless driver, two accidents with personal injuries, four medical/illness, three animal complaints, one vehicle identification number check, three suspicious vehicles and/or persons, four assists to other agencies, one harassment complaint, one possibly intoxicated driver, one theft, two welfare checks or concerns, one arrest - wanted on warrant, two domestic disputes, one shoplifting incident, three community relations details, one battery and nine traffic stops.

* April 12 -- A warrant was out for the arrest of Randy Eugene Hughbanks, 25, Linton, and he turned himself in at the police department. Hughbanks was wanted for a preliminary charge of theft, a class D felony. Hughbanks was arrested by LPD Officer Randy Bredeweg and transported to the Greene County Jail where he was booked in around 8:30 p.m.

* April 14 -- LPD Patrolman Nick Yingling responded at 2:14 p.m. Sunday to an accident involving two vehicles on State Road 54 at C St. SE. A 17-year-old driver was stopped at a stop sign waiting to cross the highway. When another vehicle traveling south on the highway was approaching C St. SE, the first vehicle crossed the highway and the two vehicles collided. Total damage was estimated above $2,500. No injuries were reported.
