Eastern Greene shoots 195

Eastern Greene shot a 195 and defeated visiting White River Valley and Bloomfield during a high school boys golf match Friday at Hidden Hills.

Jobe Gilliatt of Eastern Greene was low medalist with a 45.

Also for the Thunderbirds, Will Harper shot 46, Casey Rugenstein 48, Blade Burris 56, Carson Gillespie 62 and A.J. Adcock 69.

White River Valley finished with a 229.

Clay Smith shot 55 to pace the Wolverines. Preston Reed had a 56, Justin Barnett 57 and Chad Evans carded a 61.

On Saturday, the T-Birds finished sixth out of nine teams that competed at the Edgewood Invitational, which took place at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington.

Eastern Greene, which finished with a 422, were led by Harper, who had an 18-hole total of 104. Gilliatt shot 106, Rugenstein and Nick Cullison each with 108 and Chris Johnson 128.

The T-Birds will face Linton-Stockton Thursday at Phil Harris in Linton.
