Eccles shoots 41

Shakamak's Eamon Eccles shot 41 and Stephen Thomasson 52 as they competed in a high school boys golf match at Forest Park in Brazil Monday.

Northview shot a 153 and Cloverdale was second with a 183. The Lakers did not have enough golfers to compile a team score.

"Eamon did really well," said SHS coach Kirk Buckley. "He has hit the ball well, but has struggled around the green. He fought back to finish well.

"Stephen shot a personal record 52. That's what we are going to focus on for him. With his work ethic, I believe he will continue to lower his PR."

The Laker duo will compete with Eastern Greene against host Linton-Stockton Thursday at Phil Harris.
