Thank you for making benefit a success

To the Editor:

We would like to thank Joe and Kelly Lannan, Mike and Pam Puckett, and Pastor Mike Roth and friends from the Saron Church for making the benefit dinner for Brian Jackson a huge success.

The dinner was held at the Saron Church on Friday, June 14. The food was prepared by Joe and Kelly. We would like to thank Carole Walker, Dayna Firestone, Kristi Jackson, Karen Chambers, Kathy Riggs and Eric, Craig, Howard and Janice Herndon for serving the food.

We also would like to thank everyone that donated for the silent auction: Don Lawson for making a beautiful oak porch swing, lots of Longaberger pottery pieces, Tote and Pumpkin Spice Mix, Shakeology Mix donated by Nikki White, Thirty-one Thermal tote and Longaberger pottery from Shelby Meurer, Lonaberger Picnic Basket Forth of July donated by Doris Allen, Avon given by Jenny Graves, Golf bag by Mike Puckett, beautiful geranium pots donated by Bradfield Flower Shop in Bloomfield and Longaberger Kitchen Apron and Mitt set from the Saron Church, two subscriptions from the Greene County Daily World, and a whole beef given by Joe and Kelly Lannan. Thank you to all that helped sell and purchase tickets for the beef and the silent auction.

Brian was in the hospital and was unable to attend the dinner, however, was so excited to hear from his friends and family. What a great success it was in his honor. We cannot say thank you enough for all the love and support we have received through this time of illness. Brian will be home later this week for a short time waiting for his bone marrow transplant. Please continue to pray for our family and we will continue to pray for all of you.

God has a plan for us and we feel it is to help others with illnesses that effect their families, like Leukemia, by showing the kindness that we have been shown from all of you.

Thank you and God Bless.

To the Editor:

Friends are more precious than silver or gold. How true when 210 people signed the register for Joe.

Thanks to all the cards, calls and people who brought food, flowers, stamps, money and ornamentals.

Thanks for the very good care from the Glenburn Nursing Home, Hospice, the nurses and staff while there. Thanks to Newkirk's Funeral Home, Pastor John Sandiford, the Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion Men for their service.

We shall always be grateful to each of you. May God bless you!
