Ronald Mack Johnson, 81, of Plainfield, passed away January 30, 2014. He was born June 14, 1932 to the late Otha L. and Essa (Lucas) Johnson in Greencastle, IN. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He received his BA from Indiana State University and his Masters from DePauw University. He was a member of the Long Branch Church of Christ. After being discharged from the Army, he was a salesman and businessman before turning to teaching. He taught Industrial Arts for many years at Beech Grove, Avon and Plainfield High Schools. He later taught Science at Turkey Run and IPS before retiring in 1997. He served as a minister at the Long Branch Church of Christ for 45 years. Ron is survived by his wife, Louise (Campbell) Johnson (they were married in 1954); two sons, Randall J. (Sally) and Loren Douglas Johnson, a daughter, Dr. Ronda L. (Dr. David) Wells; a sister, Sandra Lynn (Jerry) Collins; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
