The Moral Issue Is The Major Issue

Tuesday, July 8, 2014

The state of Indiana is fighting for its life and it seems as if its leaders are tired of the fight. We took a step back in the battle for the constitutional amendment that would have further protected Indiana from same-sex marriage in the spring session. Within a matter of weeks, one man- federal court judge Richard Young- made a decision affecting the future for the entire population of our state. The attorney general has appealed the decision and stopped the bleeding of marriage licenses for same-sex couples. Marion County alone issued more than 500 licenses. Now we are hearing politicians from both parties begin to sigh and say they are tired of this moral issue consuming all the time of the legislature. They say we need to move on to more important issues like jobs and education. The moral issue is always the major issue. Sodom and Gomorrah are the proof of it. What is the unemployment rate of Sodom? It has been 100% for the last 4,000 years since God has buried it in the bottom of the Dead Sea. What is the education system of Gomorrah like? It does not matter. There has not been a single kindergarten graduation for the last 4,000 years. The sin of same-sex marriage has buried Gomorrah in the depths of the Dead Sea as well. If our political leaders buy into the idea that the moral issue is no longer a major issue, then we have placed a bulls eye on our state incurring the wrath and judgment of an Almighty and a thrice holy God. God burned Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and overturned them into the lowest geographical point on the earth. There is no place in the world more lifeless than Sodom and Gomorrah. We need political leaders who will not grow weary in well doing. Our leaders need to know that we are behind them. Use your voice. To our leaders I say, fight the good fight!
