Letter to the Editor

To the WRV residents:

WRV has a board meeting on 2/19/15. There will be a very telling sign at that meeting. They recently received bids to repair the roof at the Lyons campus. The bid was only valid for a certain period. That bid will expire before the march board meeting. The board will either accept the lowest bid, which in my opinion was a very good deal, or they will let it expire. This will tell everyone what they need to know about the direction this board is going to take. They spent money on an architecture firm to draw up the plans. They received a mandate from the people in the passing of a referendum. They will get the money from the people. The only question to be answered will be obvious with their actions or inaction. I hope the board will take this opportunity to show the people that they can start a process, spend months and thousands of dollars, receive a mandate from the people, get to the finish line and follow thru. If they come up with some form of feet shuffling, or "more research is needed", it will be a very telling sign.
