Dorothy L. Griggs

Dorothy L. Griggs, 85, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:55 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, in her residence.

She was born February 7, 1930 in Sullivan County, Ind. to Hanson William Griggs and Lena Mae (Turley) Griggs.

Survivors include her niece, Nancy Boruff of Linton, Ind.; nephew, William A. Griggs of Jasonville, Ind.; great-nieces Denise Collins, Susan Roberts, Peggy Barton; several great-great-nieces and nephews; four great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur Griggs, Robert Griggs; nieces, Peggy Love, Marilyn Goggins.

Dorothy worked for AT&T as a telephone operator at Jasonville Switch Board. She was a member of the Christadelphian Church. She enjoyed watching the hummingbirds.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 4 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2015, at the Cox Funeral Home with Speaker Steve Evans officiating.
