The Lamb Jam Music Festival scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2, in Linton's Humphreys Park is now accepting vendors with a focus on serving people. Lamb Jam, now in its fifth year, is seeking service-oriented vendors including social service agencies, those supporting various causes and ministries. Geared toward building Christian community, Lamb Jam features two days of Christian music for all ages, with free food, and a Sunday focus on gospel and praise and worship music. The festival will be located throughout the park on Saturday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. Visit the Lamb Jam Festival online at www.lambjamfestival.com for more information and a vendor application form under the "Contacts" section.
There is a Summer Food Program taking place at the First Christian Church in Bloomfield. Children will receive a meal beginning on Monday, June 1 through Friday, July 31. Meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Jefferson St. and Spring St.
Entries are now being accepted for the Annual Freedom Festival 5K Run and Fitness Walk, hosted by the Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, which will be conducted Saturday, June 20 at the Linton-Stockton High School Track. Entry Fee is $25 per person, early registration fee; $20 per person. Awards will be given to overall male and female winners and top male and female finishers in each age category: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. Now through the end of June the Worthington SonShine Shop will be having a $10 bag sale. Fill as many as you want or split one with a friend. This will include all clothing, shoes, hats, scrubs, belts, ties and $3.00 or less purses and small bags. There will also be a selection of books that can go into the bag.
Baby and Me Storytime will be held at the Bloomfield Library on Wednesday, June 17, 11-noon. For children birth to 18 months and their caregivers. Enjoy simple reading, rhymes, music, and movement with your baby.
Heroes Unmasked! Jeopardy will be held at the Bloomfield Library on Wednesday, June 17, 4:30-6 p.m. Test your knowledge of all types of heroes in the hero themed Jeopardy. Prizes for the winners. Grades 7-12 welcome
The American Legion #22 will hold Bingo at 6 p.m.

Blast from the Past will be the theme of the Vacation Bible School held at the Owensburg Baptist Church on June 15 through June 19. VBS will be from 6-8 p.m. each night. Linton First Baptist Church is gearing up for Vacation Bible School "Everest - Conquering Challenges with God's Might Power." The Carnegie Heritage and Arts Center will hold a Recycled Art Camp for all kids ages 7 through 14. Cost is $35. It will take place from 10 a.m. until noon each day. Tabletop Games will be held at the Bloomfield Library on Friday, June 19, 1-3 p.m. Bring your friends and come play tabletop board games. A tutorial on Sentinels of the Multiverse will be given at this meeting. Other games include Small World, Settlers of Catan, and Munchkin. Grades 5-12 welcome.
The Greene County Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a Masquerade Jewelry party in the hospital lobby on June 19 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Everthing is $5.

Drop in activities start at 10 a.m., children can experiment with drawing their own cartoon, get a caricature drawn and more, at noon children and adults can tour the Superhero mini-museum, and at 1 p.m. Family-time Entertainment will present a Super Hero Show with facts, fun, and lots of audience participation. Family Fun for all ages.

There will be a Gospel Sing at Union Church with featured singers Smith and Dailey from Indianapolis. Bro. Steve Dailey is a minister and has preached also in this area at different churches. The Guy Glover Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held at the Phil Harris Golf and Country Club in Linton on June 20. They are requesting local businesses and patrons support the tournament with a money or prize donation. Proceeds from the entry fees go directly to the scholarship fund. The 23rd Annual Scotland Community Yard Sales will be on Saturday, june 20, starting at 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. In addition to the yard sales, breakfast and lunch will be served and there will be a bake sell.
The Greene County General Hospital Foundation will be hosting its second annual Traffic Jam on Saturday, June 20th from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Humphrey's Park in Linton. Traffic Jam is open to the public and serves as the primary fundraiser for the Foundation.

The Bloomfield Library will hold A Gathering of Gamers on Monday, June 22, 2-4:30 p.m. Spend an afternoon playing your favorite games including board games, card games, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Wii games. Grades 7-12 welcome.
The Linton-Stockton Board of School Trustees will meet on Monday, June 22 at 6 p.m. in executive session. Following will be a regular meeting of the board at 7:45. Then, an additional executive session will be held again if needed. All meetings will be held in the administration center, located at 801 1st Street in Linton.
Linton NARFE Chapter 1688 will meet in the Greene County General Hospital conference room at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 22. All active and retired federal employees and their guests are invited.

The 38th Annual Tasting Luncheon will be held at the Bloomfield First Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 26 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door. Eastern Heights Utilities, Inc. would like to inform their customers of the availability of the 2015 CCR brochure. This brochure is designed to keep customers informed about their water utility and the quality of their drinking water over the past year. Newark Lighthouse Church holds a movie night on the last Tuesday of every month.
The Lyons Senior Citizen center would like to invite everyone to come and check out the center. They have lunch at Noon, Bingo on Mondays at 1 p.m. after lunch. There is also Bingo on the 1st and 2nd Thursdays and on the 2nd Thursday there is a Pitch in. They have Euchre games before lunch and sometimes after lunch. Bloomfield's Enhance Fitness class is welcoming new participants. Classes are held at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield and taught by Darlene Jolley. The class is open to men and women and consists of low impact exercise to oldies music and takes place from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. No additional equipment is needed but a donation of $1.50 is required. Yoga classes are also available at 9:30 a.m. A mat is required along with a $5 donation.
The Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors has altered their meeting times. They will meet in the conference room at the USDA Building in Bloomfield on the first Tuesday of each month. November through March, the meeting will begin at 7 a.m. April to October the meeting will begin at 6 a.m.

Generations is offering Enhance Fitness classes three times a week at the Glenburn's William T. Murphy Center in Linton: Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. These classes help older adults increase their strength and improve their balance and flexibility. During the renovation of the Community Building at the 4H Fairgrounds, the Greene County Foundation Office will be temporarily moved into the portable units at the east end of the parking lot at the White River Valley High School located on Hwy 54 in Switz City. The Worthington Lions Club meetings will now be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building (Town Hall) in Worthington. New and old members are welcome.
Bingo at the American Legion in Worthington is on Fridays. Doors open at 4 p.m. with games at 6:15 p.m. This is open to the public. Cost is $20 for 15 regular games. Additional games played at additional cost. All proceeds go to the Worthington American Legion Auxiliary. This event is non-smoking with breaks made for smokers to go to designated areas.
The Bloomfield Public Library is establishing a bulletin board to be a central spot to look for local job listings and they hope to include any job openings that are within walking distance of Bloomfield town. If area businesses will notify the library when they have an opening, a flyer will be created for them and posted on the bulletin board. Monthly Lyons Veterans Memorial Committee meetings are on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Lyons United Methodist Church.

The Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Library provides free delivery of materials to any homebound patron living within the service district which includes residents of Richland, Beech Creek, Highland, Center, Taylor and Jackson Townships. Permanent or temporary homebound patrons are encouraged to contact the library at 384-4125 to begin delivery service.

The Lyons Community Food Pantry at 150 East Broad Street (the old fire station) will be open from 4-5:30 p.m. the third Monday of every month, and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The pantry serves zip codes 47443 and 47465.
Lebanon Baptist Food Pantry will only be open on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m.
The Pleasantville United Methodist Church food pantry is now open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 10:30 a.m. - noon.
